FIRST REGIONAL LIBRARY INTERLIBRARY LOAN

What is it?
How do I use it?
What are the guidelines?

What is it?
If the library system does not own the material (book, video, DVD, CD, magazine article) you need, we can usually borrow from another library on interlibrary loan.

Interlibrary Loan is a system that allows one library to borrow a book or obtain a copy of an article from another library.  The First Regional Library borrows materials from any library in Mississippi or from any library anywhere in the United States. FRL doesn’t borrow or lend (outside our library system) material received by the library in the last year.

How do I use it?
Contact your branch library to request the material you are interested in. Please provide library staff with as much information as possible–author, title, subject, etc.

You must have a First Regional Library card to place an ILL request. Library staff will contact patron when material arrives from the other library, or if the material was not able to be received.
