This summer, First Regional Library will be giving away over
20,000 NEW books to people of all ages in our community.

How will it work?

Books will be given away once a week between July 6 – July 30.

Patrons are invited to come one of these weeks to pick out their free book.

Those with last names beginning A-M should plan to come between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, and those with
last names beginning N-Z should come between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm

Giveaways will be held outside on the grounds of each library.

Due to scheduling changes, two branches will be having one more week of giveaway days:

Lafayette County

Tuesdays, August 4

Tate County

Senatobia Tuesday, August 4 and Thursday, August 6

On each giveaway day, books will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Will this giveaway be safe for my family?

FRL staff will be practicing all recommended safety precautions, including the wearing of face coverings, hand washing, and social distancing.

Patrons will be directed to keep a 6 foot distance between those not in their family, and we will be encouraging everyone to only touch the book that they have decided to take home with them.

Did you miss a book giveaway at your branch? Call your local branch to see if they still have books to give away. These may be given away during appointments for curbside pickup or during in-library appointments.
Any available books will be given away on a first come, first served basis until supplies run out.

Branch phone numbers are here.
