a list of free community resources.

FREE TAX PREPARATION!! FREE E-FILE!! & FREE DIRECT DEPOSIT!! January 20th thru April 10th. The VITA Program offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Due to COVID-19 considerations, taxpayers may drop off their tax related documentation provided the taxpayer grants permission to prepare and quality review their return without the taxpayer being present. The taxpayer must return to our site in order to sign their tax return prior to submission to the IRS. Hours of operation will be at South Campus, 300 Wing at 7200 Swinnea Road, Southaven, MS, on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Minimum documents required to prepare your return include valid driver license, valid social security cards for yourself and all dependents, W-2s, verification of your routing and checking information (for direct deposit), prior year tax return, and any other documentation to support your federal tax return. Although it is not mandatory, taxpayers are encouraged to visit church website to view or print off Form 13614-C and Form 14446 to speed up drop off process.
